At the start of the round, it is a special time because Maeve goes to school for the first time! Her day progresses very well and she brings home a school friend, Beau Kablang.
It seems Caspian is very happy that Maeve is doing well at school.
Soon enough, Beau and Maeve become friends.
When JJ comes back home from his new job, he has his own wins as well. He is promoted and Caspian shares his enthusiasm with his husband. Though if asked directly, Caspian would have been fine with JJ being a stay-at-home dad, but… you know, everyone needs to do what makes them happy.
To celebrate the promotion, Caspian and JJ take some time together at home. With the needs of the children, there is no way they can leave the house, but still they manage to have a small and cute date.
After that, childcare and regular duties continue.
Niall learns all of the necessary skills (talking included, just forgot to snap a picture…)!
Maeve is a friendly girl by nature and seemingly gets along well with her little brother.
Soon enough, and all by herself, Maeve has managed to get great grades at school. She has been wanting to get that coveted A+ for a while and she has managed to do it! Caspian can only encourage her.
To help her keep up with her more demanding schoolwork, Caspian helps Maeve out to show her how she can do her homework most efficiently.
JJ plays with Niall and the evening turns out to be a cozy family night.
Maeve's hard work pays off and she happily continues doing well at school.
Soon enough, JJ returns from work with a big bonus and a promotion! While he was at work, he encountered an interesting looking cave and despite some protesters, he went inside to take a look… In there, he discovered a new species of two-headed worms without hurting a proverbial hair on the other worms’ bodies. His boss was so impressed that he was promoted! He can now call himself a Multiregional Sim of Some Question.
Maeve is proud and happy to have him back home, in any case.
Soon after, it is time for Niall’s birthday. Gather round, everyone!
He ages up into a child. He picks an outfit that makes him feel like he can be an adventurer, just like his dad!
He likes the colour black and so his dads set up his room for him to suit his tastes with the constantly limited amount of money that they have.
He and his sister are playing a lot and soon enough they become friends. Maeve can’t be happier with her friendly nature! Niall is a lot more on the grouchy side, so it’s a good thing that he can get along with his sister, at least.
Late in the night, the family is awoken by strange noises. As they run outside, they can just catch Caspian being thrown out of an alien spaceship.
He doesn’t seem hurt or otherwise ‘burdened’, but it must have been a scary experience for him! Was it wise to become such good friends with Bevruchtenhagel Technicus, or is it this exact bond that has kept him from most harm?
“Honey, it was AWFUL!”
JJ is just happy that his husband is back home safe and relatively unharmed.
That very same night, more misfortune visits the Delacourt family. Due to the recent renovations, a burglar alarm wasn’t installed yet and one of the local thieves has taken it upon herself to take advantage of that.
Caspian jumps out of bed and scrambles to call the police force for backup, but sadly the burglar was clever and only stole the items of most value and got out. Say goodbye to the television and telescope!
With renewed vigour, Caspian returns to work and comes back home with a promotion. He is determined to stop every criminal in town and can now call himself a SWAT Team Leader. As Maeve gets out of the school bus he calls her over to hear the good news.
The rest of the round proceeds calmly. Niall is taught how to do his homework efficiently by Caspian.
Afterwards, when the children are in bed and the dads take some time together, the chill in the air introduces Winter and the new round.
This round became a lot more eventful than I anticipated! Thanks for reading and until next time!
Hahaha nice to see Beau make a little cameo at the start ;P Looks like it was a pretty wild ride this round indeed xD Hope things will calm down in the weekend, perhaps all go on a family trip together ;D Also thank goodness the aliens didn't successfully probe Caspian, those pollination technicians have brought plenty of fruit already in Robinsdale xD
